Girls Golf is Rocking

Girls Golf was rocking throughout Durham this weekend as Durham City, Eaglescliffe, Seaton Carew and South Moor held their taster sessions for young girls new to golf.

Great fun was had by all as girls as young as six tried golf for the first time.

The brilliant sunshine helped enormously as the girls tried putting, chipping and wedge shots helped by the ambassadors from the County Squads.

The girls will now have the opportunity to take part in five coaching sessions at the end of which they will be able to 'go on Tour'. There will be three competitions for them on academy courses at Seaton Carew, Eaglescliffe and Tyneside.

The aim of these events is to give the girls the opportunity to get out on the course and make new friends.

These fun events will be open to all girl golfers who have just started to play the game whether or not they have been involved in Girls Golf Rocks. They are designed to encourage beginners and improvers to play more often.

To book visit www.girlsgolfrocks.org

If you missed the taster sessions but would like to join in the coaching, get in touch with any of the clubs who have been involved and they will enrol you on the coaching.
