Our American Girls

Durham County Ladies will be saying goodbye to seven of our girls who are heading off to the States in the next few weeks to embark on or resume their studies having won golf scholorships to universities across America. Jessica Hall of Bishop Auckland, the current County Ladies Champion is travelling to Florida where she will be studying at Fresno State University. Another Bishop player, Briony Bayles, a former County Champion is off to Kansas State University. Amy Sutheran who plays at Wynyard will be starting her course at Colorado State University Pueblo. Resuming their studes will be three other Wynyard players. Shannon O'Dwyer will be returning to the University of Texas to begin her third year, Kitana Hollins will embark upon her second year at Murray State College Oklahoma and Laura Alexander will be returning to Thomas University in Georgia and will be joined there by her sister Zara who will be starting her first year.

The girls are a credit to the County and testament to the Durham Coaching programme. We wish them every success in their studies!
