Chris Pascall was proud to hand over £3,200 raised for the Captain's Charity in 2021 to Harbour Support Services. It is a domestic abuse charity with safe houses and refuges throughout the county. They also provide help for families who have to move because of domestic abuse with items such as beds, table and chairs, white goods etc. Denise Gilhespy administration officer - core services at Harbour said the money will be used for the charity's hardship fund which could help with, for example, removal costs for someone fleeing an an abusive relationship or it could be spent on school uniform.
she added "It really makes a big difference. It will help many families really get established in their own homes, in a place of safety, while feeling secure and supported".
