President's Waltz

It was another blustery day for our visit to DCLGA President Di Elsy's home club of South Shields. At least the weather remained largely dry with just a couple of light showers.

The President's Waltz was a very closely fought competition with 3 teams finishing on 78 points. Sam Cairns, Jill Richardson and Barbara Davis of Darlington Golf Club beat the other two teams over the back nine holes.

Many thanks to everyone who took part and a special vote of thanks to Di Elsy who donated the prizes and spent many hours working with the club to ensure that the event was successful. She was also very busy during the day doing starting and raffle duties.
