BYE-LAWS

GENERAL

  • Clubs competing in County events must be affiliated to the County Association.
     

  • All competitors must be County Members and have a WHS handicap.
     

  • All venues shall be selected by the County Committee.
     

  • Division 1 refers to WHS handicap index of 18.4 or less Division 2 refers to WHS handicap index of 18.5 or more.
     

  • Ladies with WHS handicap index of up to 40 may enter County competitions and matches, unless otherwise stated.
     

  • The qualifying round for the May Lowery must be played in May and may be played in conjunction with a club competition.
     

  • The Vine Trophy is the only County competition where members of a team must have the same home club.
     

  • In the event of a tie, the decision shall be as recommended by the Official Rules of Golf ,Committee procedures Rule 7 and shall be determined by countback over the last 18, 9, 6, 3 or 1 holes.
     

  • A player who is not present on the first tee when her name is called shall be liable to disqualification.  See Rules of Golf 5.3a
     

  • All disputes to be referred to the Committee whose decision will be final.
     

  • Bye-Laws in respect of Anderson League Matches, Sivewright Shield Matches and Thomlinson Cups shall be reviewed at least every four years.
     

  • Any query raised by a member should, in the first instance, be discussed with the golf club ladies committee.  If the committee cannot resolve the query the ladies secretary can then approach DCLGA by email or letter for assistance.
