Autumn 4BBB
We had a great turn-out for our Autumn Four-Ball-Better-Ball at Seaton Carew with 46 pairs competing. Some great scores were posted. Yvonne Setchell (Houghton) and Sue Scott (Tyneside) pipped them all with an excellent net 63. They were closely followed by Erin West (Seaton Carew) and Daisy Allom (Tyneside) with net 64. Thomlinson Results 2026
Many congratulation to Houghton-le-Spring won won division 1 of the Thomlinson's beating Consett and District 4&2 in the final. In Division 2 Beamish Park beat Ramside 4&3 in the final. Well done to the winning teams and also the beaten semi-finalists, Barnard Castle and Hobson (Division 1) and Boldon and Barnard Castle (Division 2). May Lowery Final
Many congratulations to Helen Ross of Wearside Golf Club who won the May Lowery Final at South Moor today, Sarah Hirst of Blackwell Grange won the best gross prize with Valerie Page of Barnard Castle wining the 2nd net prize. Many thanks to South Moor golf club for hosting this competition and providing the course in such good condition and also to the ladies of South Moor who donated the first prize. Inter-County Challenge
A hot and sunny day greeted the players at Whickham Golf Club today for the Inter-County competition between Durham and Northumberland. Despite the heat, some fantastic scores were returned. The Dunn/Mair Trophy was won by Northumberland, who finished with an impressive 237 points, just one point ahead of Durham. The individual winners were Eileen Gow and Sandra Sav from Longhirst Hall, who produced a fantastic 45 points. In second place, with 44 points, were Gloria Goodchild

Charity Competition
A total of 21 teams competed for the Charity Trophy at Barnard Castle Golf Course. The weather was great and the day was enjoyed by all. The winning team, representing Headlam Hall and consisting of Carol Bradley, Hilary Heslop, Lyn Blewitt and Pippa Leech produced an excellent score of 57 points to claim victory. County Match Week 2026 - Day 3
The final day of County Match Week 2026 and Durham are playing Northumberland this morning. Another tough day for Durham but at least the sun was out for most of the morning. County Match Week 2026 - Day 2
Another damp morning I'm afraid but not quite such an early start for Durham today with our match against Cheshire. Another tough day at the office for team Durham with the a hail storm in the middle of the match against Cheshire. There were some sunny intervals between the showers but sadly Durham lost 4-1. Vine Trophy
A total of 51 teams competed for the Vine Trophy at Durham City Golf Course. The winning team, representing Wickham and consisting of Wendy Robison, Julie Cornish, and Claire Watson, produced an excellent score of 87 points to claim victory.
