Durham County Junior Girls held their annual Christmas Florida Scramble on Monday 29 December 2025 at Wearside Golf Club. Despite damp and chilly conditions, the girls took part in a 9-hole Florida Scramble and played some excellent golf. All the teams gelled especially as some of them had not met each other and there was a handicap range of 4 to 51. DCLGA Junior Girls Presentation Night was held at Houghton le Spring Golf Club on Friday 28 November 2025. It was a brilliant night celebrating the junior girls receiving their trophies. At the DCLGA AGM junior girls were present to receive various awards. Junior County Champion Millie Hixon (Wearside GC) was unable to attend to collect her trophy as she was away at England Golf coaching. Millie had two excellent rounds of 78 and 75 giving her a total of 153 which gave her a winning margin of 9 shots and became our champion for the second-year running.
