4BBB at Consett

Updated: 6 days ago

The weather was very kind to us today with temperatures in the low 70's (for those of us still working in Fahrenheit) for the 4BBB held at Consett and District golf club.

The course was still playing quite long after all the wet weather of the last few months which was reflected in some of the scores. The ladies from Chester-le-Street golf club had no problem with conditions finishing in two of the top three places.

The main honours however went to Jo Linsley and Louise Fryer from Eaglescliffe golf club with a net 74.

The top 6 pairs go through to the Inter-County final against Northumberland at Garesfield Golf Club on Wednesday 14th August. I would be very grateful if those pairs in the top 6 could confirm whether or not they will be able to play. Tee times normally run from about 12 noon until 1pm and you will be paired with players from Northumberland of similar handicap. A meal will be provided after the game.

The full results can be found here.
