4BBB - Boldon

Many congratulations to Christine Bell from Houghton-le-Spring and her stand in partner Margaret Jackson of Durham City golf club who was co-opted at the last minute when Christine's original partner was unable to play. They won the Laing and White Salvers for the best nett score with a magnificent 66.

The Houghton-le-Spring ladies are obviously on good form at the moment as Helen Pryor and Sheila Munroe were second with Ann Corbett and Joan Cuthbertson of Whitburn winning the third net prize. The Foggatt Spoon for the best gross went to Linda Luke and Liz Nelson of Woodham with a net 83.

The full results can be found here.

The top 6 pairs go through to the Inter-County final against Northumberland at Ravensworth Golf Club on Wednesday 10th August.

I would be grateful if those players in the top 10 places could let me know whether they are available or not to take part. The format of the day is 4BBB stableford with pairs from Durham playing with a pair from Northumberland. A meal is provided after the game.

If anyone lost a blue fleece headband on the course at Boldon today then I have it and will bring it to the Vine Trophy (when hopefully the weather will be a bit warmer and you won't need it!)
