Many congratulations to everyone who took part in the Charity American Texas Scramble at Dinsdale golf club today. Despite the very hot conditions there were some really excellent scores with the winning team from Woodham and Ramside scoring a magnificent net 53. I suspect that those teams in the low 60's thought they had a chance but second place was taken by a team from Brancepeth Castle with a net 59 with third place going to a team from Chester-le-Street and Ramside with a net 60.
Many thanks to all those who took part and bought raffle tickets. All the proceeds of the day will go to the County Captain's charity - Macmillan Cancer Support.
