DCLGA AGM

At today's AGM Captain Wendy Mabbott handed over a cheque for £4,800 to John Hartwright of the Alzheimer's Society. He informed those present on the exciting progress being made in the detection of the disease and the new drugs that are coming on-line that will hopefully halt it's progress.

Wendy announced that her charity for 2025 would be the Great North Air Ambulance. A very good start was made to this as the cake donations raised £168.

At the meeting Caz Smith took over as Competition Secretary from Anita Maxwell who was elected back onto committee. Ann Bowen, Valda Grant and Margaret Winter were also welcomed as new committee members.
