Captain's Message April 2021

Happy Easter, I hope you are enjoying your Easter Eggs! Golf is back, isn’t it great to be able to play golf again. I haven’t played but I hit balls on the driving range yesterday. It was very satisfying to be back hitting balls even though the weather was a little chilly.

We have our first Junior competition the Appleby Bowl which is a stableford event, on Saturday 10th April at South Shields. Entries to our Junior Competition Jackie Heaton.

Then on Monday 19th April we are holding the Spring meeting at Sharply Springs. Entries for County events can be taken online which is brilliant.

Many of you will have noticed our new website, Anita Maxwell our Competition Secretary has made an amazing job. We hope you think it modern, colourful and more importantly easy to negotiate.

I am looking forward to seeing you all at our competitions this year, let us hope we can have a more normal year with plenty of golf.
