Charity American Texas Scramble

This year's County Captain's Charity is The Alzheimer’s Society. Funds towards the annual total are boosted by running the American Texas Scramble where all the profits are donated. This year we managed to raise about £700. Many thanks to everyone who took part.

The weather was really kind to us and the Bishop Auckland course was in great condition. Everyone seemed to enjoy the day and there were some really brilliant scores recorded.

The team of Alyson Smith, Tracey Charlton, Katherine Pearson from Boldon and Sharon Campbell from South Shields came in with a wonderful net 59 just pipping two teams from Brancepeth Castle and Dindale by one shot. This year we added a best gross prize which was won by the team from Houghton-le-Spring. The full results can be found here.
