Charity Competition

A total of 21 teams competed for the Charity Trophy at Barnard Castle Golf Course. The weather was great and the day was enjoyed by all.

The winning team, representing Headlam Hall and consisting of Carol Bradley, Hilary Heslop, Lyn Blewitt   and Pippa Leech produced an excellent score of 57 points to claim victory.

Finishing a close second, also with a net 57, but beaten on the back 9 was the Bishop Auckland team of Elizabeth Bailey, Sue Spence, Julie York and Maxine Hewitt

The prize for best gross, with an excellent 2 under par 71, went to Anita Maxwell, Pat Usher, Tracey Hahn and Maggie Brown from Woodham

Our sincere thanks go to Barnard Castle Golf Club for their warm hospitality and for providing an excellent venue for the event. We are also grateful to every team that supported the Charity Texas Scramble, and to the volunteers whose time and dedication played such an important part in making the day a success.
