Junior Girls Fantastic Away Draw

Durham Girls took on Lancashire at Preston Golf Club on Monday 24 August 2026.

In ideal warm conditions both teams played some exceptional golf with the outcome being a well-deserved 4 – 4 draw.

The Durham team consisted of Scarlette Richardson (Junior Vice-Captain), Lilah Underdown, Sorcha Bond, Nixie Corcoran, Alice Atkinson, Emily Holgate (Junior Captain), Daisy Allom, Olivia Livingstone.

A special mention goes to Lilah, Sorcha and Nixie winning their matches along with Olivia for winning her match 2 up on her county debut especially after being 4 down after 8 holes.

A massive thanks to all the girls who were fantastic all day and it was such a pleasure to watch their golf.

A shout out to ladies from Lancashire Golf and Preston Golf Club who looked after us all day providing us with a fantastic course and excellent hospitality.

Lastly these matches could not go ahead without the support from all the parents and supporters plus our DCLGA Junior committee members Lesley Still, Marian Goodyear, Christine Mair and Chris Pascall.
