Junior Girls Coaching Assessment Day

Junior Girls Coaching Assessment Day will be held on Sunday 13 September 2026 at Ramside Golf Club.

The Durham Girls Junior coaching programme for 2026 / 2027 is being structured to ensure all girls from beginner to elite level with or without handicaps are given the opportunity to be part of the programme.

The Coaching Assessment Day will see girls sign up for a one-hour session of their choice. During the session they will be assessed on their putting, long and short game.

The most important aspect of the assessment day is that there will be a relaxed and welcoming environment to give the girls the freedom to relax and enjoy the day, without the feeling of being put under pressure to perform.

The day is a fantastic opportunity for girls to become a part of the coaching programme and develop their talent to help ensure the future of girls’ golf in Durham.

After the assessment day girl’s will be offered a place on a coaching group appropriate to their playing ability to further develop their skills.

At the county coaching the county coaches are aware that some girls have their own coaches and are respectful of this and reinforce techniques they have been taught. Girls attending the coaching have formed new friendships and sees them meeting up to play at each other’s clubs.
