English Amateur Championship

Updated: Aug 3, 2024

The English Amateur Championship is being held at Hartlepool and Seaton Carew golf courses starting on Monday 29th July. It is a great honour for the clubs to be asked to host such a prestigious championship and will mark the culmination of events to celebrate 150 years since Seaton Carew was founded .

Good luck to the following Durham ladies who are taking part

  • Amy Burton

  • Jessica Hall

  • Brittany Hill

  • Alexandra Stevenson

  • Amy Sutherland

The men and women will be competing separately for their own trophies, but both events will be held on the same course simultaneously making it quite an appealing spectacle. A field of 288 golfers will initially play two rounds of strokeplay over the first couple of days on each course. The next four days will see the top 64 men and 32 ladies play at Seaton Carew in a series of match play ties before the men’s and women’s 36-hole finals are played on Sunday 4th August.

The weather forecast looks good for the week so I'm sure that all the golfers would welcome your support if you have the opportunity to attend.

The results can be found here.
