Inter-County Final 2023

The Durham & Northumberland Inter-County Final was held today at Gosforth Golf Club. Despite the amount of heavy rain that has fallen over the last few days the course was in very good condition and all teams would like to thank the green staff for all their hard work in ensuring that the course was open for play.

Despite the course playing very long there were some tremendous scores:-

1. Christine Bell and Chris Bryson (Houghton-le-Spring) 45 points

2. Helen Cooper (Arcot Hall) and Lynne Liddle (Gosforth) 40 points

3. Jan Turner and Sue Kiddle (Dinsdale) with 39 points

I'm pleased to be able to report that once all the points were added up for both counties, Durham came out on top and won the Dunn/Mair Trophy (for the third year in a row).

Many thanks to everyone who took part and to the officials of Northumberland who looked after us all day and ensured that everything ran smoothly.
