MRS NINA NORDMANN (OCTOBER 1921-JULY 2024)

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mrs Nina Nordmann.

A founder member of the Lady Golf Captains’ Society, Nina served on Committee for almost sixty years. As a former President, Nina offered invaluable support and guidance to Society members and officials. She attended Committee meetings and events until her advancing years forced her to take it easy (not all that long ago!).

Nina and her late husband, Leonard, were members of Whickham Golf Club, where they were very active in club affairs.

When celebrating her 100th birthday in 2021, Nina recalled many notable events in the history of Whickham Golf Club and the Lady Golf Captains’ Society – her memory as quick and keen as ever.

She was a great character who will be greatly missed.
