40 teams from Northumberland and Durham took part in the Scout Cups at the City of Newcastle Golf Club. It was extremely hot and teams did very well just to finish.
First Place was taken by one of the teams representing Durham Exec - Marian Goodyear and Kathleen Hammerton came in with an incredible 48 points. The home team of Joanne Cowan and Barbara Franklin were second with 43 points, with third place going to Val Brown and Jessie Brown of Brancepeth Castle with 42 points.
Durham Exec got their revenge for the narrow loss they had last year (not that we are sore losers!) with a convincing 126 point to 94 point victory over the Northumberland Exec team to take home the Pyman Skout.
