DCLGA Captain

Since Sue Wright became DCLGA Captain her personal circumstances have unfortunately changed as a result of her husband's health. As I'm sure you are aware, Barry has dementia and his condition is, as expected, deteriorating and she now needs to devote considerably more time to ensure his wellbeing.

It is therefore with immense reluctance, but with peace of mind, she has taken the decision to step down as County Captain as obviously time restraints prevent her from giving the role the full commitment she appreciates is necessary.

Sue would like to thank everyone for their support, and I’m sure that you will join me in wishing Sue all the very best and thank her for all the sterling work she has undertaken during her time as Captain despite the difficult circumstances that she found herself in.

Wendy Mabbott as Vice Captain has kindly agreed to take on the role of Captain with effect from Friday 1st March. I would like to welcome Wendy to her new role and I ask that you give her your full support going forwards.

Lesley Still

DCLGA President
