Spring Waltz

43 teams took part in the Spring Waltz held at Hartlepool. Due to the dreadful weather we've endured over the winter and early spring a lot of ladies said that this was the first 18 holes that they had played since October.

Despite ordering nice weather it didn't really materialise and the players had to contend with a very blustery wind and squally showers. However, the elements did not seem to affect the winning team of Helen Morgan, Marianne Moore and Lyn Davison from Brancepeth who came in with a very creditable 73 points.

They were followed by teams from Blackwell Grange, Ingleby Barwick and Chester-le-Street all on 68 points.
