DCLGA County Championship 2021

Shannon O'Dwyer of Wynyard golf club is the DCLGA County Champion for 2021 having beaten Faye Wheatley of Whickham Golf Club 5 & 4 in the final.

Faye had a tough semi-final match against Ella Crang (Wynyard) winning on the second extra hole. Shannon had an easier game this morning beating last year's champion Jess Hall (Bishop Auckland) 6& 4.

There was some tremendous golf played over the three days of the Championship with Lucy Ashworth getting a hole in one and Emily Baxter (Houghton-le-Spring) playing under her handicap in both rounds. Wynyard won both the gross and net team shields.
