Durham County Junior Girls Coaching Group Florida Scramble, Wednesday 8 April 2026

Durham County Junior Girls held their first Coaching Group Florida Scramble on Wednesday 8 April 2026 at Houghton le Spring Golf Club.

All the girls present attend the Junior Girls Coaching programme across three different venues and were bought together to play a fun Florida Scramble.

In unusually hot conditions with a slight breeze the girls played some excellent golf.

All the teams gelled especially as they were from different coaching groups and there was a handicap range of 11 to 48.

The final scores were very close between second and fourth places with 3 shots covering the 3 teams with a runaway winning team:-

1st place with 44 – Willow Hixon, Olivia Livingstone, Thalia Crabtree

2nd place with 52 - Sorcha Bond, Neave Pearson, Darcey Fawcett

3rd place with 54 - Emily Holgate, Jessica Hood, Olivia Wadey

4th place with 55 - Daisy Allom, Erin West, Theresa Anderson, Romilly Crabtree

Thank you to the team captain’s Olivia L, Sorcha, Emily and Erin who ensured all their team were included in deciding who took each shot.

The successful day could not have happened without the hard work of many which include all at Houghton le Spring Golf Club, the Junior Committee, all the players and their families and supporters.
