Durham Junior Girls pipped by Lancashire

Durham Girls took on Lancashire at Barnard Castle Golf Club on Monday 18 August 2025.

In cool cloudy conditions both teams played some exceptional golf with Lancashire claiming a narrow 4.5 to 3.5 victory

The Durham team consisted of Caylin Million (Junior Captain), Scarlette Richardson, Morgan Bailey, Lilly Ann Phillips, Izzy Stokes, Emily Wakenshaw, Lisa Conboy Bryson and Ria Bethapudi

A special mention goes to Caylin Million and Izzy Stokes winning their matches along with Ria Bethapudi for winning her match on her county debut.

A massive thanks to all the girls who were fantastic all day and it was such a pleasure to watch their golf.

A shout out to Barnard Castle Golf Club who looked after us all day providing us with a fantastic course and excellent hospitality.

Lastly these matches could not go ahead without the support from all the parents and supporters plus our DCLGA Junior committee members Wendy Mabbott, Lesley Still, Marian Goodyear, Christine Mair and Chris Pascall. In addition, the girls were well supported by members of the DCLGA past and present, a real big thank you to you all.
