Junior Girls Awards at DCLGA AGM

At the DCLGA AGM junior girls were present to receive various awards.

Junior County Champion Millie Hixon (Wearside GC) was unable to attend to collect her trophy as she was away at England Golf coaching. Millie had two excellent rounds of 78 and 75 giving her a total of 153 which gave her a winning margin of 9 shots and became our champion for the second-year running.

Player of the Year went to Jess Dorritt was unable to attend to collect her trophy as she was away at England Golf coaching. Jess became DCLGA Champion for the first time in 2025 and retained her Northern Golfer Champion of Champions title in 2025.

Most improved player of the year went to Lilah Underdown (Blackwell Grange GC). Her handicap at the start of the season 23.2 and by the end it was 9.8 a reduction of 13.4 shots.

This year's Junior Captain, Caylin Million (Chester le Street GC), handed the Junior Captains badge to 2026 Junior Captain, Emily Holgate (Wearside GC). A massive thank you to Caylin for being an excellent Junior Captain and we wish Emily all the best in 2026 along with her Vice Captain Scarlette Richardson (Seaton Carew GC).

Lastly a big thank you to all the ladies who attended the AGM and gave so generously to the Junior County Girls collection tins with a massive £190.00 being raised.
