Junior Girls Christmas Florida Scramble

Durham County Junior Girls held their annual Christmas Florida Scramble on Monday 29 December 2025 at Wearside Golf Club. Despite damp and chilly conditions, the girls took part in a 9-hole Florida Scramble and played some excellent golf.

All the teams gelled especially as some of them had not met each other and there was a handicap range of 4 to 51.

The final scores were very close with 7 shots covering the 6 teams.

1st place with 30 - Lilly Anne Phillips, Daisy Allom, Jessica Hood and Olivia Wadey.

2nd place with 31 - Nixie Corcoran, Willow Hixon, Neave Pearson and Essy Nichol

3rd place with 32 - Scarlette Richardson, Erin West, Olivia Livingstone and Abby Ayre.

4th place with 33 - Olivia Harland, Emily Holgate, Thalia Crabtree and Theresa Anderson

5th place with 36 - Sorcha Bond, Lisa Conboy Bryson, Darcey Fawcett and Amelie Ward.

6th place with 37 - Caylin Million, Phoebe Harrison and Romilly Crabtree

Nearest the pin on the 7th hole was Lilly Anne Phillips, 164cm.

Thank you to the team captain’s Scarlette, Caylin, Lilly Anne, Nixie, Olivia Harland, and Sorcha Bond who ensured all their team were included in deciding who took each shot.

Also, it was great to welcome 6 new players to their first Durham County Girl’s competition, Abby Ayre, Phoebe Harrison, Olivia Wadey, Neave Pearson, Darcey Fawcett and Amelie Ward. We hope they enjoyed their first competition and look forward to seeing them and all the girls in 2026.
