The 2023 Northern Counties' Junior Jamboree was held this week at Bromborough GC, Cheshire. Despite an early start and long journey the girls were both excited and nervous to tee-off in the stableford competition, playing a strange course which held some really interesting and challenging holes.
Day two featured matchplay, a new format for many of the girls but with support from volunteer walkers each group thoroughly enjoyed the experience and produced some great golf and enjoyable matches.
Overall, Durham finished in 4th place which was a great result with some of the girls being relatively new to the game but showing real potential for the future.
Thanks to host county Cheshire for a wonderful experience, thanks to our girls - Lilly-Anne, Emily, Katie, Evie, Nixie and Scarlett and the team from DCLGA Junior Committee for their hard work and support.
